John was born and raised in northwestern Pennsylvania, in the small town of Youngsville.  After high school John served three years active duty in the US Army, stationed at Fort Myer, Virginia.  John was a member of the 3rd US Infantry Regiment and was a sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

After military service, John attending Penn State University and graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering.  He spent ten years as a production engineer in the paper industry.  His career took him from Lock Haven, PA to western Maine, then back to central Pennsylvania, where he has resided since 1997.

John got his insurance licenses and started his career in that field in 2013.  He worked for State Farm Insurance and Erie Insurance and in 2018 opened and managed two Blair County offices for APA Insurance, out of Coatesville, PA.  

In September of 2020, John started his own agency.  John's main business principal is to treat his customers how he'd expect to be treated himself.  The overriding principal is to provide the best coverage at the best price.  At every renewal, for every customer, John checks rates with all of his carriers.  If there's a better rate and the coverage is similar, John will recommend that the customer move their policies.  John routinely saves existing customers hundreds of dollars every year.  Most of the time John does this without being prompted by the customer.  That's how he would want his agent to do it....
